Boko Haram Ambush Claims Lives Of Seven Military Personnel Along Biu-Buratai-Buni Yadi Road
Boko Haram ambush a truck along the Biu-Buratai-Buni Yadi road as a military vehicle, transporting a Lieutenant and fellow soldiers.
According to reliable sources, the ambush resulted in the untimely demise of the Lieutenant Officer, a driver, gunner, and four other soldiers, underscoring the lethal nature of the assault.
Reports also suggest a retaliatory exchange of gunfire led to casualties among the assailants near Kamuya village, just a short distance from Buratai, the hometown of former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (Retired).
The statement reads:
“Yes, based on the situation report, soldiers of 135 Special Force BN FOB in Buratai were ambushed by terrorists on their way to Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, to buy fuel,” the source stated grimly. “Unfortunately, one officer, along with a driver, gunner, and four other escorts, lost their lives in the attack.”
