Lagos Ranked Second Cheapest City To Live In Globally
According to Mercer’s latest Cost of Living City Ranking, Lagos has been named the second most affordable city to live in globally, out of 226 cities surveyed across five continents.
The annual report, which assesses the costs of over 200 items in each location, including housing, transportation, food, clothing, and entertainment, ranked Lagos second only to Islamabad, Pakistan, in terms of affordability. Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, also featured in the top three, taking the third spot.
The ranking is a significant indicator of the city’s attractiveness to expatriates, businesses, and investors, highlighting the relatively low cost of living in Lagos compared to other major cities worldwide.
